The ALL is the centrepiece of the restructuring of the Department of Engineering (now School of Engineering) at the University of Liverpool. This teaching space was designed to allow a whole year cohort of 250 Engineering students to undertake any phase of team project work at the same time. This idea, for which I claim some credit, underlies the radical curriculum reform which is represented by the Liverpool Engineer programmes.
The ALL, with its glazed exterior, is eye-catching at any time.
However after dark its colour-change lighting makes a stunning addition to the Liverpool skyline.

I also rather like these images, with the cathedral reflected in the glass, and (from the other side) with the crown showing.
